PMLN5464A: The PMLN5464A is a Motorola Original Bone Conduction Ear Microphone. The PMLN5464A has replaced the BDN6708B which was only the Interface. The PMLN5464A does not need the Interface, it comes ready to attach directly to the radio. The streamlined Ear Microphone System picks up sound through bone vibrations in the ear canal, giving emergency personnel the ability to hear and speak directly to others on the scene. This lightweight earpiece is comfortable to wear, yet durable enough to meet the rigorous needs of emergency response personnel. The built-in bone conduction microphone and receiver eliminate the need for a boom microphone and a new clean, compact design eliminates the interface box. The PMLN5464A was also known as BDN6708, BDN6708B, and BDN6708C.
The PMLN5464A comes with Large Push-to-Talk (PTT) button which allows ease of use when wearing gloves. It also has a ring gaurd around the PTT which helps prevent accidental activation.
Works with Digital and Analog Mode.
Does not work with VOX.
