Tradition
Is a general all-purpose flashlight. It can be used for law enforcement and for everyday use. It is compact and very powerful. It offers the broadest range of lighting needs, at the best value. Its run time supplies reliable performance throughout battery life. The Tradition Series Flashlights by Streamlight has a longer regulated running time than both the HP Series and HPL Series. It has the most effective balance of candela and lumens. Lumens is the measurement of the light. Candela measures the brightness of the source of the light. It evaluates the output of the lumens and the regulation of the reflector.
High Lumen (HL)
When you require the highest illumination. The HL Series are very bright, and has a wide beam pattern. And it will light up huge areas, so you can pinpoint who or what is close by. However, it isn’t very effective at long distance. It delivers more of a genuine flood light effect.
High Performance, High Lumen (HPL)
HPL is an upgrade version of the HP. It has a high-candela beam. HPL Flashlights have a high powered beam that shines over long distances, while still providing ample area lighting. It will give you more light on your target from a much longer range. For instance, if you are shining the HP on somebody from a distance, you can see the target’s head and shoulders. And with the HPL, you will be able to see from the head, down all the way to the waist. Which gives you an excellent tactical edge.
